Literature Text

The very day after Jack died, you died as well. You had fallen asleep, and when you woke up and walked away from the tree, you noticed that your body was left behind you. Your eyes widened in shock; how were you moving around without your body?! It was then that a voice spoke to you. You glanced all around, before your eyes landed on the moon. It twinkled brightly in response, and the voice continued talking.

It didn’t tell you much, just that your name was __y/n__. You couldn’t remember anything about yourself, and the moon didn’t tell you. The moon did however give you a staff, embellished with leaves of red and orange, that you quickly realized could summon rain and change the color of leaves.

The moon told you that you were now the Guardian of Creativity, whatever that meant, and to look for someone named Jack Frost.

And with that, the voice ceased.

----------------------------------------------------------------
Three hundred years later, and you found yourself in the North Pole, surrounded by other beings that were like you. There was North (Santa Claus),Bunnymund (the Easter Bunny), Tooth (the Tooth Fairy), and Sandy (the Sandman).

You were all gathered around in North’s workshop, waiting for the moon to announce something. The man in the moon, as you had learned the others called him, announced that you would be getting a new Guardian.
And his name was Jack Frost.

You blinked in surprise at this. You had been looking for Jack Frost for the past three hundred years on the man in the moon’s orders, and now he was coming here? That certainly shocked you.

~Time Skip~

A few days later and Bunnymund returned with a large, wriggling sack. The minute the sack touched the ground, a blue and white blur flew out. When the figure finally calmed down, they turned to look at the five of you.

They turned out to be a boy, who appeared to be about your age, with hair the color of freshly fallen snow and eyes an icy shade of blue. He had pale skin, and wore a dark blue hoodie with silver designs on it, similar to frost. He had brown pants that went down to his ankles, and he had no shoes on. His eyes scanned over your group, lingering for a moment on you.

He pointed a long, brown stick with a curved end at all of you, his eyes glinting.

“What am I doing here?” the boy asked, a hint of anger in his voice.

That voice, you had definitely heard it before. You studied at his face carefully before it suddenly clicked, and you hid behind the other Guardians before quietly sneaking out of the room. Your eyes brimmed with tears as you turned the door to your room and stepped inside. That was him, you were certain of it.

Tooth had, after much nagging from you, finally given you your memories, a few weeks after you found the Guardians. The thing that popped up most often in your memories was a boy, your best friend by the name of Jack. He had drowned tragically, and you died the next day. You still weren’t entirely sure how you died; you thought possibly though that your will to live had died along with Jack.

You weren’t sure how he was alive, but seeing as how you were too, you figured it was possible.

But in a way, you didn’t want him to be back. You had finally come to terms with his death (after much crying when you saw all the happy memories with him) and he didn’t appear to remember you.

No, you decided, you were going to simply act as though he was nothing but another Guardian.

You wiped your eyes before exiting your room, and going back into the workshop.
------------------------------------------------------------
You were __y/n__, the Guardian of Creativity. You brought autumn to the world, by changing leaves from green, to brilliant shades of red and orange. Jack was often with you when you did this, as he controlled the cold and wind, which were crucial parts of fall. You also could control the rain, spreading it wherever needed.

You were basically the physical embodiment of fall, with dark red hair fading into a lighter red, ending in soft orange at the tips. You hair was originally __h/c__, but when you became a Guardian, the Man in the Moon changed your outward appearance. You also had had __e/c__ eyes, but now they were more of a brown mixed with red and orange. To top it off, you had pale skin with a light scattering of freckles.

You wore a light orange dress that hit just above your knees with sleeves that went to your elbows. The dress had brown stripes along the edge of the skirt, chest area, and at the tips of the sleeves. You wore dark brown leggings underneath that hit mid-calf, with black sneakers. You controlled the rain and trees with your staff. It was a long, pale branch from a birch tree with coils of copper wire holding fresh reddy orange leaves to it.

But to Jack, you were something more.

For the first couple of days with the Guardians, you were cold towards him, almost hostile. When he started talking to you though, he saw a chip appear in your armor, and you warmed up to him. Jack was glad for this, as he enjoyed talking to you. He could speak easily to you, almost like speaking to an old friend.

------------------------------------------------------------

Jack blinked in surprise when he looked at you. He had just regained his memories, and this was his first time seeing you after regaining them. He realized how much you looked like his best friend __y/n__, and then the truth crashed into him like a train. You were __y/n__, that’s why you looked like her. And without a moment’s hesitation, Jack crushed his cold lips onto yours.

-----------------------------------------------------------

You blinked. Was this really happening?

You had lost hope of Jack regaining his memories or if he did happen to regain his memories, him liking you. When he did get his memories back, you were glad, but also worried that he wouldn’t like you back. You longed desperately to kiss him, to run your fingers through that silky white hair, and wait. Why weren’t you doing this now?!

Jack realized that you weren’t responding, and removed his lips from yours.

“I’m sor-“ Jack started to mumble before you hastily kissed him. His lips were freezing, but at the moment you could care less. You didn’t care about anything but Jack; you weren’t going to lose him again, at least not without telling him what you had been meaning to all those years ago.

Your hands inched their way up into his hair, fiddling with the strands. You could feel Jack’s cold hands trailing along your spine and shivered.

You broke the kiss, and Jack looked at you in alarm. His eyes had changed color to a dark blue, and you smiled softly before your hands moved down to his neck. You hugged his neck, burying your face into his chest, mumbling something.

Jack gently removed your head and looked at your face.

“What was that?” He asked, the usual mischief gone, something else in its place. You glanced up at him, eyes studying that beautiful face of his, before you pressed your lips gently to his again. When you broke away from him, you leaned your forehead against his and spoke again, your warm breath sending shivers through his body.

“I love you.” You mumbled softly, as your heartbeat tripled. What if he didn’t love you back? You chanced a glance up to his face, to see him grinning at you.

“I love you too __y/n__. Always have, and always will.”

Jack then kissed you again, sealing your eternity together.

End.  <3

Sorry this is one of those reader inserts where what you look like is already decided, but I thought it made sense if you're a Guardian. I own nothing; none of the pictures, characters, movie/book, none of it. All rights go to their rightful owners. Well, I kind of own the idea for reader-chan, but not really. I don't own the cover picture either, all rights go to their rightful owners.

You belong to :iconjackoverlandfrostplz:

Sorry this is super choppy and crappy, but I didn't want to make it like five chapters, so I just skimmed stuff. Hopefully it's okay. And sorry for not writing anything all weekend, I tried a few times, but freaking writer's block man. I'll try to get more out next weekend. Anyways, yeah. Hopefully you like this! :)
