Jack’s jaw literally dropped when he peered inside your window, seeing you decked out in fancy clothes for your prom. You wore a light blue, strapless dress, with a tulle skirt that rested just above your knees, and a very sparkly bodice with a sweetheart neckline. You wore white Converse with white sparkly tights; your __h/c__ hair hung down in loose waves. It was at that moment that Jack decided you were the most beautiful thing he had ever seen.

Jack’s heart sunk though, when, with one final glance in the mirror, you exited the room, going downstairs and greeting your parents and your…date. Of course you had a date. You couldn’t see him anymore, why had he hoped that you would remember him?

When you were younger, you could see him. And the two of you would laugh and have snowball fights, and go sledding, and just, have fun. At first, Jack treated you like a little sister, but as you grew up, his feelings changed too. He had something of a crush on you, and then one day, you couldn’t see him anymore. Jack still came by your house every once in a while to check up on you, but it hurt to do so.

You didn’t remember him, so why was he still living in the past?

Jack sighed, resting his head on his staff as you exited the house with your date, his eyes hardening as he noticed the hand that was placed on the small of your back.

-------------------

You flinched when you felt Carter’s hand near your waist; truth be told, you didn’t like him. But he had asked you to be his date, and you were too polite to say no, so you said yes anyway.

There was another reason why you didn’t like him though; you had feelings for someone else. Or at least, you thought you did. You vaguely remembered having snowball fights with someone named Jack, and when you thought about this “Jack” person, you felt butterflies in your stomach and you just felt, happy.

You snapped out of your thoughts when Carter coughed, letting you know that you were at the car. You shot him a sheepish smile, sliding carefully into the car.

-------------------

Jack glided over top of the car, entering the school right behind you when you arrived.

You shivered; you could’ve sworn you felt something brush your neck as you walked through the doors and into the school.

Jack noticed your reaction, smiling slightly. Maybe you did remember him, at least a little bit.

---------------------

The dance went decently, in your opinion; Carter had ditched you for some of his guy friends, but you didn’t really care. You hung out with your own friends instead, laughing and cracking jokes. It was getting late though, so you decided to call it quits. With a wave to your friends, you left. You didn’t live that far away, so you decided walking wouldn’t be too bad. You looked both ways before stepping off the sidewalk and onto the street, and you were almost across when you heard the screeching of tires and you felt something crash into you.

You crumpled, falling to the ground like a broken rag doll. You groaned; body throbbing in pain.

“No! __y/n__!” Jack had seen you get hit, immediately flying down to assess the damage. “No…” He murmured, his hand caressing your bloody cheek. There was blood everywhere it seemed, and Jack honestly didn’t think you would make it. “Manny, please, do something!” Jack was hysterical, wanting nothing more than for you to be alright.

There was a flash of blinding white light, then you felt all the pain leave your body.

------------------------

You and Jack were teleported to the North Pole, Jack cradling your body. You were unconscious, at least he hoped you were. Manny had indeed done something though; all the blood that was on you and your clothes was gone, your __h/c__ hair was laced with purple highlights, your cheeks were a very rosy pink, your dress had changed from an icy blue to a pale pink, the blue and white sparkles having been changed to red and pink versions, your Converse were still white, and last but not least, your tights were now a vibrant red, with purple and pink hearts scattered across them.

Jack gently handed your body to North, who examined you for a moment, before he spoke.

“It looks like ve have a new Guardian!” He exclaimed cheerfully, a booming laugh following as you jumped out of his arms. Another thing that the Man in the Moon had given you was wings. Your wings were almost fairy like, fairly small, and they shimmered from purple to red to pink. You flew around the room, examining the faces below you. You flew down, in the middle of the strange group of people.

“Who are you?” You asked cautiously, looking at each of them in turn.

“I am Nicholas St. North, but you can call me North.” A large man with a white beard announced cheerfully, grasping your hand in his a handshake.

“I’m Tooth!” A woman with bird feathers covering her body exclaimed happily, embracing you before her hands flew to your mouth, opening it as she examined your teeth. “Such white teeth!” She sighed happily, as she pulled away, leaving a startled you gaping after her.

“Aye sheila, I’m Bunnymund.” A very tall rabbit said, shaking your hand politely with his paw. You heard a tinkling sound, glancing downward to see a tiny golden man who appeared to be made out of sand, waving enthusiastically up at you.

“And that’s Sandy.” Tooth supplied for you as you waved shyly. You glanced around, your eyes locking with bright blue ones, taking in the appearance of a teenage boy with snowy white hair and pale skin. Something tugged at your brain, you had seen him before, you just knew it. Butterflies danced in your stomach as the corners of his mouth curved slightly upward, and you gazed at him, searching his blue eyes for an answer.

“That’s-“Tooth started, noticing where you were looking.

“Jack.” You finished, memories flooding your brain of snowball fights and hot chocolate and sledding. You remembered all of it; you remembered Jack, you remembered forgetting about Jack, you remembered the dance, you remembered dying.

You flew over to him, throwing your arms around his neck and nuzzling your head into chest. Jack’s arms hesitantly went around your waist; Jack was aware of all the other Guardians looking at you both in surprise, but he ignored it for now. You remembered him, and that was what mattered.

--------------------

It turned out that you were the Guardian of Love, which basically meant you went around the world, just spreading love and happiness.

You went with Jack a lot when he left the North Pole, choosing to help him spread his fun while spreading love around as well.

You chucked a snowball at Jack, laughing as it hit him square in the face. Jack threw one at you, but you dodged it, fluttering away, scooping up fresh snow as you did so. You and Jack were in the North Pole, taking a day off from being Guardians so you could annoy the hell out of each other.

You shivered when a snowball hit the back of your neck, cold water dripping down your spine. You turned around, coming face to face with a smirking Jack. You growled and launched yourself at him, effectively pinning him to the ground. You scowled when you realized you didn’t have any snow to throw at him, and if you let one of his hands go he would definitely push you off.

“Jack, we may have a problem.” You announced, mentally face palming yourself. Jack didn’t respond, just smirked smugly up at you. You sighed, shutting your eyes tiredly. You were just considering letting him up when you felt something cold on your nose, and your eyes flew open, seeing Jack inches away from your face.

“Did Jack Frost just nip at my nose?” You asked, looking at him in disbelief.

“Maybe.” Jack said with a shrug. You moved one of your hands from his wrists, pinching the bridge of your nose. Sometimes this boy, just, really?

You suddenly found yourself pinned under Jack, a snowball held proudly in his hand. But as Jack looked down at you, your __h/c__ and purple hair splayed across the white snow, your flushed cheeks, your red nose, he lost the urge to throw the snowball. He tossed it aside, making you look at him in surprise, before he leaned down, pressing his lips to yours.

You reacted immediately, weaving your hands into his white, slightly damp, hair. The butterflies in your stomach, ever-present when you were around Jack, increased tenfold, dancing violently and making your heart pound against your ribcage. You moved your lips with his, noting that his lips were ice cold, but not unpleasant.

It was refreshing, invigorating, magical. Jack’s hands had since moved to your waist, gripping it gently to keep him from falling on top of you. You broke apart after a moment, Jack leaning his forehead against yours while one of his hands reached up to caress your cheek, making you shiver slightly.

“Hey, Jack?” You asked softly, almost hesitantly.

“What’s up?” Jack questioned gently, looking down at you worriedly. You leaned up, kissing him swiftly before leaning back against the cold ground.

“I love you.” Jack grinned, rubbing his nose cutely against yours.

“Good. Because I love you too.”
